How to grow strawberries at home (and when to expect fruit)

By Fazendinha Retrô Team · Published on

To grow strawberries at home, plant healthy seedlings in a container with drainage and good light. Production depends on the variety and the climate, so fruit all year round requires specific conditions.

Keep the crown at soil level

Cover the roots with potting mix and leave the point where the leaves emerge level with the soil. Water gently and keep the fruit away from soggy soil.

Plan the season and observe

Check your regional planting calendar before choosing a seedling. Note when flowers and fruit appear. With that record, it becomes easier to understand in which season your pot tends to produce.
