Games that teach healthy eating
Garden games can help kids recognize foods and talk about where they come from, when they grow and how they are prepared. Use the game as a starting point for an activity with real food.

Choose one food
Harvest a carrot in the game and compare it with a carrot from the market. Look at the leaves, color and texture and talk about which parts get used at home.
Include your family's reality
Ask which vegetables are available and who usually cooks them. For information on children's nutrition, use your local health authority's age-appropriate guidance.
