Games that do us good? What research says and how to play in balance
A game can fit into your day as leisure, company or a challenge. Notice what a session adds to your day and how much room it leaves for the other activities you value.

Run a small experiment
Choose a task you can finish, like delivering an order. Before and after the session, notice whether you enjoyed the pace and whether it was easy to close the game.
What the research measured
Vuorre and colleagues used play-time data and well-being reports. The study found little evidence that playing more, by itself, improves or worsens average well-being. In Fazendinha Retrô, choose for the enjoyment of the activity, alternating garden, puzzle and decoration.
