How to weed a vegetable garden without herbicides
To weed without herbicide, start with hand weeding and covering the soil between plants. Do a quick round before weeds set seed.
Pull carefully
With the soil slightly moist, grip the weed near the base and pull the root. Near seedlings, work by hand or with a small tool to avoid uprooting your crop.
Cover the open spaces
Use clean plant mulch between plants, keeping stems clear. Avoid bringing weeds with ripe seeds into the bed, since they can spread new plants.
